Gary Lewis Dip FD.

(Manager & Funeral Director)

Having joined the funeral profession in 2003, I was aware that I had found my true vocation in life. I worked my way up through ‘the ranks’ and gained personal experience at every level.

In 2006 I undertook the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) Diploma in Funeral Directing – the funeral profession’s ‘Gold Standard.’

In 2012 I qualified as a registered tutor for the NAFD Diploma in Funeral Directing. This enables me to train Diploma students from far and wide and keeps me up to date with changes in the profession.

In 2020 I gained the NOCN Level 3 Diploma in Funeral Celebrancy to enable me to officiate over ceremonial services. This qualification means not only would I be acting as your Funeral Director on the day but could also confidently ‘step up to the lectern’ and deliver a personal and sincere funeral service for your loved one.

“Being a local lad, I have a great understanding for the families that I serve – we speak the same language. My vision is to exceed your expectations, from arranging the funeral through to the funeral service and essential aftercare.”

Sue Milne

(Funeral Administrator)

I started in the funeral profession in 2006, and over the years have gained a great deal of experience and local knowledge which has enabled me to arrange a funeral with compassion, care and respect.

I joined Chamberlains Funeral Directors in February 2023 to offer an exemplary funeral service, together with high standards of care for both bereaved families and those who have died.

I enjoy all areas of my job, in particular fulfilling the families specific wishes to ensure a fitting and personal funeral service is provided for their loved one with dignity and care shown throughout.

Pete Chandler

(Funeral Operative)

I joined the funeral profession in December 2022 and have since gained the knowledge and experience required to fulfil various roles both leading up to and on the day of the funeral..

I enjoy every aspect of my job. To me it’s more than just a job; it’s a way of helping people at a time when they need it most. Whether the job be as small as cleaning a funeral vehicle or conveying a families loved one into our care – I always ensure it is carried out with precision and professionalism.

It is always my aim to serve each family to a very high standard whilst acknowledging their grief throughout.
